While Bali is synonymous with its beautiful landscapes and vibrant culture, let’s not forget that it is also an island that can satisfy even the most hedonist shopper. Considering the island’s global popularity, it’s no surprise that notable international brands, restaurants and designer products have made their way onto the island of the Gods.

If you’re reading this, then it’s likely you’re already on the island or soon planning to be. In both cases, it wouldn’t hurt to treat yourself and splurge a little by doing some shopping. For that purpose, we recommend the Seminyak and Canggu areas for the best shopping experience.

To help you decide where to go, we’ll be showcasing popular spots to do some shopping in Bali. In these places, you’ll find items ranging from designer clothing and accessories, to locally made arts and crafts.

Seminyak Square

Located in the heart of Seminyak is a vibrant, alfresco-style market place known as Seminyak Square. This charming marketplace is the perfect spot to start your shopping journey in Bali. You’ll find all sorts of locally made products, such as soap, lotions, clothing, art pieces, and more. It’s also very close to a nearby coffee shop, the Revolver Espresso and Titik Temu Coffee, should you need a caffeine boost before venturing onwards.

Seminyak Village

In addition to Seminyak Square, right next to it is one of the latest shopping malls to be erected in Bali, Seminyak Village. This is a conventional shopping mall, with air-conditioned shops indoors, making it a good stop during the afternoon as you cool off from the heat. As a bonus, right across the street is Sisterfields, one of the highest rated boutique cafes for brunch or coffee, known primarily for their continental western menu.

Shops along Jalan Kayu Aya

One of the best parts of shopping in the Seminyak district is that you’ll find all sorts of boutique shops selling unique pieces of arts, crafts and clothing. Take some time and explore the area on foot, some of these shops are hidden away in the smaller streets, just waiting to be discovered.

Love Anchor Canggu

If you’re willing to venture out a bit into the Canggu area, you’ll come across another marketplace known as Love Anchor. If you’re into vintage and antique pieces of clothing, artwork and accessories, then this place is a must visit. Once you’re done you can take a 10-minute walk out to Batu Bolong Beach to end your day of shopping with a beautiful tropical sunset.
